Wiimms Mario Kart Fun 2011-03, the successor of Wiimms Mario Kart Fun 2010-12, is a Custom Track Distribution made by Wiimm. It is distributed as ISO Patcher.

Download and Installation

Download and installation are described in a separate page: »Wiimms Mario Kart: Download and Install«. The installation guide is written in English and German.

Some Author Notes

I have released the predecessor »Wiimms Mario Kart Fun 2010-12« in the first December week. Nearly every day after this release until Christmas a new track was announced. Therefore I started with this new release in January 2011. I started with a poll on Wii-Homebrew.org to find out the unpopular tracks. End of January the new distribution was ready but some of the new and very good tracks had glitches. And so I'm waiting until March.

Excluded Tracks

There are 3 tracks that I'd like to include, but the glitches make it impossible:

  • Volcanic Skyway RC2 has massive problems when playing on 2-split-screen or online. There are invisible item boxes and some other things like one of the wiggler have moving problems. Therefor RC1 is included.

Wii Disc IDs

Wiimms Mario Kart Fun 2011-03 uses 4 IDs:

  • RMCP08 : PAL version that shares the savegame with the original game.
  • KMCP08 : PAL version that uses a own savegame (but shares it with other custom distributions).
  • RMCE08 : NTSC version that shares the savegame with the original game.
  • KMCE08 : NTSC version that uses a own savegame (but shares it with other custom distributions).

The KMC?08 IDs will only be used for Ticket, TMD and boot.bin. The ID of disc header is always RMC?08 to enable online gaming. Most (or all) USB Loaders and WBFS Managers will only show the disc header ID. Use wit to verify all IDs:

# wit dump image.iso --show=id

Dump of file image.iso
  Disc & part IDs: disc=RMCP08, ticket=KMCP, tmd=KMCP, boot=KMCP08

Partition table #0, partition #0, type 0 [DATA]:
    Partition IDs: ticket=KMCP, tmd=KMCP, boot=KMCP08
