If you will use Wiimmfi with an old profile, you get occasionally error code 60000. This means, that your old profile is not known by the Wiimmfi server and have to clear the profile id of your license or the complete license.

Background

If a Wii or NDS game goes online, it sends a [nick]]name to the server. This nickname acts like a unique identification. If the server knows the nickname, he replies with the related profile id (or short PID). If the nickname is unknown, the server creates a new profile with a new PID.

On the client side the Wii accepts only a new PID, if there is no old PID. But if an old PID exists and the server sent another one, the Wii stops the login process and shows error 60000. In this case, the user have to clear the profile ID to allow a new PID.

To minimize the occurrence of error 60000, Wiimm retrieved about 3 millions nickname and PID pairs from the original servers until the shutdown day in June 2014. If your nickname was retrieved, you don't see this error code. All others have to clear the PID of the license, or to clear the complete license.
