Track download links

When fixing links on a CT page, try to avoid using 4shared links, since they require you to sign up in order to download. I personally recommend Mediafire.

It's stupid to have 2 uploading wesite acconts. Im replacesing Megaupload links with 4shared links for 2 reseans: 1. Because megaupload shut down. 2.Because youyu0713a on 4shared made 3 floders of almost every single custom track alive. Yes MediaFire is awesome but mediafire does not have a seacrh engine. Either replace 4shared links with MediaFire ones or make a new rule "You must have a 4shared accont to use Custom mario kart. --Unsigned post by TheMarioKartFreak

Requiring an account in two places at once is kind of silly, in my opinion. --Digital Monster, Guilmon35249vr 03:23, 28 May 2012 (UTC)
I didn't notice 4Shared required an account to download. In general, downloads on this wiki should not require users to sign up for an account. Accounts for uploaders is a different matter. It only takes 1 account for a person to upload a file, while a file might get downloaded by hundreds of people. You shouldn't expect those people to sign up for 4shared, especially when there are other options, such as Gamefront and Mediafire. I think it would be okay to offer 4Shared links as an alternate download farther down in the page, but the main link in the CT Info or Misc Info box should never require registration.
Also, Mariokartfreak, please spell check and sign your posts before hitting the SAVE PAGE button. --Jefe 05:35, 28 May 2012 (UTC)
Also, when you're fixing up track pages, please make sure the information is accurate. The date on the Version History template, 2008-04-27, is just the release date for Mario Kart Wii, and put in as an example. It shouldn't be used at the actual release date for anything. --Jefe 05:56, 28 May 2012 (UTC)
