Wiiki Rules / Moderator Messages

Please do not edit the same page more than 2 times in a 15 minute period and try to keep the amount of edits as low as possible. Use the Show preview button to check your changes and save the page only when you think it is fine.

You really need to change your signature. The one you have now does not identify who you are. Go to "Preferences", go down to "Signature", put your username in the box, and scroll down to click "Save".

You managed to put a signature inside of a signature and your username neither has a link to your user page or talk page. See mine or any other moderator's if you'd like a proper example. --Torran (talk) 04:07, 18 April 2013 (UTC)

You assume everyone else knows who signed that comment, but the truth is that your old signature did not tell us. There's nothing wrong with being original, but you actually need to put your username in your signature. This sounds obvious, but it apparently is not to you. Also what is obvious is the point; I already explained it above and in my previous post.

Stop continuously reverting edits on pages. It's worth noting that approximately half of Talk:Soarin's CT Pack's edit history is just an edit war that includes 2 moderators. Stop doing this, or you'll be banned.

Some final words: you seriously need to adjust your attitude. I didn't even care about your grammar and you're lashing out at me, just because I want the page to look neater. It's ironic that you're the one that actually cares the most about grammar, as you cared enough to repeatedly revert minor edits about it (and the colons). Not that it was a prime reason for the ban, but your grammar is awful. You use no punctuation, so it's difficult to tell where your sentences start and end sometimes. I still don't see why you would revert constructive edits like that to make the page worse. If you do not wish to host your stuff on this wiki any longer, contact someone else to say so and I will delete all your content.

No actually many people care about grammar on this wiki, including me. You should stop this war immediately because you are still feeding the fire, and its getting stronger. Yes. Sometimes people are jerks. But the mods on this wiki because they are doing it for your own good and to make your pages that you created look better. Also yes this is a free country but you still need to play by the rules of the property holder. You can't just simply go into a house and make yourself a coffee without any permission of the owner. I hope you learn from your 1 week ban because i don't want to ban you forever next time.

Looking at Soarin's recent activity, I'd say a lengthy ban is warranted, but I'm just checking if you intended to change it to a permanent ban, despite what you wrote here. Personally, I'd go with a 2 month ban on this one, due to the edit warring and disrespect toward Zilla and other users. --Jefe (talk) 03:58, 11 July 2013 (UTC)

Two month would be too long for a ban in my opinion because people should think about their mistakes instead of getting a punishment. But his main mistakes was to send me an harsh and insulting email after he got his one week ban. Still WiiMaster is the best proof that even people with a permanent ban can get unbanned after some time if they understand their mistake and apologize.

I live also in a free country and I'm able to ban anyone without reason. But I don't it, because of many rules and etiquette. Some are written in the wiki, and some are logical. Fact is, that the moderators here are guardians of all rules. The rules are not random/haphazardly and the moderators spent much time to make the wiki informative, readable with an uniform layout. So please keep friendly.

Here's my two cents: Let him have crappy grammar and threading conversations but just let people like me fix it! I'm trying to make the Wiiki a better place by helping out. And I think I'm doing my job. But the getting really mad needs to stop. This Wiiki should also stay a friendly place rather than edit wars and anything that includes getting mad or even fighting. Every edit done by anyone on a wiki is recorded in the history for all to see. One of the jobs of a moderator is to patrol edits made on a wiki and decide if the edit was valid. There's no point in censoring the discussion in this case because of the context of the discussion; blacklisted words. --Torran (talk) 20:25, 28 April 2013 (UTC)
