Could this information be used to create a replica of the MK Wii server? - Unsigned comment by User:SomeoneUnknown.

Chadderz and Bean now run their own MK Wii server for CTGPR, so yes.--Jefe (talk) 04:08, 13 January 2014 (UTC)
To run a server, more info is needed than here is archived. Why they don't share the additional infos?

lol the server only work in the CTGPR-Channel. Ingame only the region is changed and the region run with the Nintendo Server.
So they didn´t create a own MKW server.

Nintendo Server Shutdown

I just wanted to post my comment on Bean's video here on the wiki to hear some further opinions:

Perhaps for MKWii this could be blessing in disguise? It would allow us to finally do things the Ninty would've penalized us for in the past (increasing the VR limit etc.) to improve our gameplay experience. Personally I believe that the two worldwide options should remain separate for now, but we'll have a better feel for that once we get online and see how many players we can find. If all else fails, merge them for CTWW, but keep "Regional" races as MKWii tracks only so that the Ninty tracks still get a fair bit of use but if someone wants to avoid CTs completely then they still can. Due to the way that social media works these days it'd be pretty easy to spread the word about this new online service and I have no doubt that people will take to it a lot more readily now. Why, I hear you ask? Because before many people who were avoiding modding their Wiis were doing so for one of three reasons: 1) They didn't want to break their system, in which case it's up to us as a community to prove to them that installing the CTGP-R channel will not be damaging in any way. 2) They were afraid of getting banned by Nintendo for doing so, which will clearly no longer be an issue. 3) They didn't want to void their warranty, which, let's face it, has almost certainly happened to all Wiis anyway by this point given how long it's been.

Let's try to view this as a positive rather than a negative :) - WorldsBoss (talk) 09:00, 27 February 2014 (UTC)
