Are you sure about the spelling? "Luna" and not Lunar"?

Yes. --Buschkling (talk) 23:21, 4 June 2013 (UTC)

Bug in v1

If driving into the white tunnels (made for car+truck entrance), the game continues in slow motion. -- Wiimm (talk) 06:55, 18 October 2013 (UTC)

And this bug is a built-in-cheat: If a player drives into the white part and waits 20s, his personnel timer goes much slower and he becomes a delay of 10 seconds or more. So the player has a chance to drive as last to get the best items, but at finish he first first because of the best total time.

I was aware of the lag, but I didn't know it would cause a cheat. I already tested, how the lag of the object affects the game online, but I was sure it didn't do that. I'll see if a new custom object model will fix it.--Buschkling (talk) 21:19, 3 December 2013 (UTC)

German Translation

To those who keep changing the translation: First of all, "Luna" will stay "Luna" when it's translated to german because the word is spanish (and a name too). Then there's City. Scye and I prefer the translation to have "City" in it's name. There's even the case with Mario Kart Double Dash's "GCN Mushroom City", it's "GCN Pilz-City" in german. We think it sounds nicer, and too exact translations are sometimes really weird. --Buschkling (talk) 18:35, 2 March 2015 (UTC)

No discussion about "Luna", because it's an old german word for moon (=accepted).
For "city" there are 2 choices:
  1. The german word for city is "Stadt". So it's clear, that "city" is a wrong translation.
  2. If you decide, that the complete "Luna City" is a name, then there must be no translation for any language and all names of all languages are "Luna City". But thing, that many city names have different spellings in different languages, like München/Munich/Monaco di Baviera/Monachium.
I see here many bad EN-to-DE translations of german authors, because their initial translation to english was bad.

I don't decide that the complete "Luna City" is a name. But "city" is a word that can be used in german too. There's "Pilz-City" on Mario Kart Double Dash. There are also other english words that are used in german. Scye and I preffered to use this word, instead of "Stadt". Is that ok?--Buschkling (talk) 18:55, 2 March 2015 (UTC)
A wrong translation does not make other translations correct. In german "City" is used for "Zentrum" or "Stadmitte" (en: center). -- Wiimm (talk) 19:04, 2 March 2015 (UTC)
A translation must be handy. But more important is, that there is an association between the english and translated names and that all translations are homogeneous. And if I see that "Bayside" is translated to "Ostsee" (Baltic See) then is is clear, that this translation is wrong. And if "bayside" not a description but a proper name of whatever, then all other translations are also wrong.
This is curios: Only german translation are discussed so heavily. And for the reason I agree Wiimm: I see here many bad EN-to-DE translations of german authors, because their initial translation to english was bad..
But now it's to late to rename the original track name. So we have to re-translate homogeneous for all languages and sometimes ignoring special author wanted translations.
