KMP

Help

Hi.
I have huge problem on KMP here the story:.
In Time trial it work fine (everything).
Without Podoboo (boble) it work every where.
Every cam just work like a charm.
But when i try to load VS mode with all cam that worked fine, and all item it simply don't load.
And it load fine in TT but when i want to go away from the map it simply freeze i can't restart change char / course or quit.
I would appreciate any help (it prevent me to release the map :x).
If need i can post the KMP as KMP/TXT.
ps: KMP only made with Wiimm tool KMP editor.

No time to test now, but after a code view i think, that the distance between camera point and view point of all 3 opening cameras are to small (and for c1 it is zero)! Put the camera at least 5000 away from both view points. And I#m not sure, if the view points must have also a distance.

The openning pan cam worked fine, The problem should be on the podoboo cause that when they are there that freeze.
I mean I tried without and it load. It should be a ressource problem?
Anyway I will try your idea :3

My first idea was the opening cam, because it is only used in vs. And then I saw the non logic values.
Maybe you are right, but the KMP seems mot to be full. But there are 25 routes and most of them are not linked.

Okay I did your idea still same effect
I delete all unused route , same result :3
Deleted from first podoboo to the end and still freeze
did all above but together and still same effect :X
I do not know where i fail :/

The file you send me fails in time trial too. I've tested it in slots 7.2 and 7.3.

A test series

I have made a little test series. In all tests I have modified the opening cam as explained above. Then I have divided all global objects into 6 groups. The first group were all itemboxes and this group was enabled in all tests. With the other five groups I have made 5 testes, one group enabled and the other 4 disabled. And all works fine (tested with VS). This means, that all global objects work fine for itself, but not if all enabled. I think, there is a memory problem.

Then I have looked into the graphics and found this:

  • course_model/GCN_OutField is a large graphic (256*1024, 128KB) and have 9 clones with identical images. Is this needed?
  • course_model/GCN_Tower: Same size, 1 clone.
  • course_model/GCN_Anzen3: Smaller, 2 clones.

It seems, that there are large unneeded images.

Have you ever tested VS without compis, but with 2 players?

I did that huge amount of Group simply because it is needed to fix HP effect without the last one you would have old HP effect.
and as the map take "only" 21.000 ~ face and like 30 groups max it should work fine in 4VS with computers without lag as "Petite Park" have
more than 80 groups and 55.000~ Faces.
but yep the problem it is what you told the memory. but untill we don't have HP fix I can not make better Brres :S
I will simply remove some Taimatsu for exemple. or make as it was before Podoboo. mean no fireball at Lava room.

Results

So here my little results :3
Wiimm Had right !
I mean I deleted ALL Taimatsu, FlamePole_V/big and GCN_LightSystem Polygone and now it is loading Fine.
so untill we can't fix that hp effect in one polygone i will not add that GCN_LightSystem sorry :3

Tried to make more than two pocha to get more chance to activate it.

so i will see maybe I will got luck trying value from 002 to 022 so That will be the same amount than BC WII and same hexa value maybe it's needed?

I quit mkwii next week (i already quit skype) and i want to upload this track, (cause its the best ct) it would be a perfect completion for my channel :) and ur ct in 1080p would be "O_O" i know your ct is not done (no animated textures, hp effect, non-finished kcl), but you know i record with dolphin emulator (no hp effect) :) and the perfect kcl is not neccesary (cause i drive normal and dont fall, etc), and "bowser howl" etc. would make no difference (cause i dont record the original sound) It would look so amazing =) and the track would be popular like never before! (i think the vid would get 8000+ views)

Please, it would be the perfect completion and i could quit with a good feeling! ;)
