Overview
The Super Nintendo Entertainment System (Super NES, SNES, Super Nintendo, Super Famicom, SFC) is a game system designed by Nintendo. The system launched in 1990 in Japan, 1991 in North America, 1992 in Europe and Australia, and finally 1993 in South America. The SNES was Nintendo's second home console, succeeding the NES. The first entry in the Mario Kart series, Super Mario Kart, was released for this system.
