Shy Guy is a retro character that first appeared in Yume Kōjō: Doki Doki Panic.[1] He first debuted in the Mario series in Super Mario Bros. 2. He first appeared as a playable character in the Mario Kart series in Mario Kart DS, and then later in Mario Kart 7. He is playable in both versions of Download Play, but the player won't be able to change their vehicles nor customize, but come in different colors, including original red as a result.[2] However in Mario Kart 7, Shy Guy is unlockable, making him also playable online and offline.
Currently, there are two versions available:
- Shy Guy (ShadowLuigi-NG-), over one vehicle
- Shy Guy (Yoshidude4), over all vehicles
