Rainbow Road is a retro race track from Super Mario Kart. It is the last track of the Special Cup, starting the Mario Kart tradition of having Rainbow Road as the final track of the final cup. The track later reappeared in the Extra Cups of Mario Kart: Super Circuit, as the last track of the Lightning Cup in Mario Kart 7, as the second track of the Triforce Cup in Mario Kart 8 and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and in Mario Kart Tour.
Currently, there are 12 versions available:
- SNES Rainbow Road (MrBean35000vr & Chadderz): based on the original version
- SNES Rainbow Road (KO Teknik): based on the original version
- SNES Rainbow Road (DasFragezeichen & Tock): based on the original version
- SNES Rainbow Road (NiAlBlack): based on the 3DS version
- SNES Rainbow Road (Wexos & Maximiliano): based on the original version, with new elements
- SNES Rainbow Road (xBlue98): based on the original version
- SNES Rainbow Road (ZPL & Bear): based on the Wii U/Switch version
- SNES Rainbow Road (Bri): based on the 3DS version
- SNES Rainbow Road (Toxic Amaranth): based on the 3DS and GBA versions (Alpha) and the original version (v1.0 onward)
- SNES Rainbow Road (KiwiPowerGreen): based on the original version (April Fools)
- SNES Rainbow Road (Elemental): based on the original version (April Fools)
- SNES Rainbow Road (Luigi Story): based on the original version
There are also five April Fools versions based on the original version that were created for the ninth edition of Whipinsnapper's Turbo Jam, increasing the track amount to 17:
