The Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection (WFC) service is a online gaming service that provides free online play in various Nintendo DS and Wii games, including Mario Kart DS and Mario Kart Wii. It is required for online play. Nintendo announced that the service will be discontinued on May 20, 2014.
