Overview

N64 Rainbow Road, also known as N64 Rainbow Road: Lunar Edition in CTGP, is a custom track by BigOto2, and it is also his first retro track. Technically it could be considered a port, however only the road itself and one decorative rainbow ring was truly ported, with some slight modifications in certain places. The textures, background, occasional guard rails, and other decorations are entirely new.

Known Bugs

  • An unfortunate glitch exists where, like many custom tracks with three "sections" instead of laps, everybody jumps to 1st place on the second "lap". v1.0R/v1.1 fixes this glitch, but has all three laps count at the end, which should be used for online play in CT distributions.
  • In v1.0R, falling off just as you get on lap 3 (by jumping behind the rail) causes you to get stuck in a glitchy respawn underneath the moon. This was caused because the author added a respawn point but forgot that its Y-value was set wrong. Note that jumping off at full speed may not trigger this (the player bumped the rail mid-air and it slowed them down). This is fixed in v1.1 onwards.
