Mushroom Creek (called CTGP Mushroom Peaks in its concept phase) is a custom track made by Bladestorm227, originally designed by Quattro. As its first name implies, it is supposed to be a modern take on the layout of Mushroom Peaks, the famous track by MrBean35000vr and Chadderz.

Overview

Layout

The track differs from the MrBean35000vr version mainly because of the layout, which was modified in order to be a lot simpler and more accessible in comparison to the original. Players start from the far left side of the lake, which hosts the starting line and most of the stands. The track then follows the outline of the lake for two curves, then splits into two paths. The rightmost path leads to a Wii Mushroom Gorge-like mushroom section, where the players have to jump on five mushroom pads (instead of more than 10, as in the original track) before landing back on solid ground; while the leftmost path is a temporary shortcut that is available only on laps 1 and 2. After the two paths come at a junction point again, the players are led into an elevated part from where they can jump, reaching the starting line again.

Shortcuts

Mushroom Boosts Required
  • Platform Shortcut: On laps 1 and 2, players can take the path on their right to take a shortcut route. After a jump on a bouncy mushroom, they're forced to land on a platform that has mud on it. Thus, they need a mushroom boost to get through. The platform sinks into the lake after lap 3.
  • Mushroom Shortcut: After the jump following the split junction, the road divides once more. The path on the player's right leads to a shortcut leading to a bouncy mushroom. This shortcut is available for all 3 laps.
  • Grass Cut I: The second curve can be cut on grass by using a mushroom.
  • Grass Cut II: After the split landing, the players that have taken the right path can cut through the grass with a mushroom boost to save time.
Mushroom Boosts Not Required
  • Backup Ramp: At the last jump, if a player isn't able to pull a trick boost they can still cut the curve with a nearby ramp.
