Overview

Mirage Desert is the third "professional" custom track made by Bulzeeb that takes place in a desert. So far, this is the biggest model created by this author and his longest race (only 2 laps). The race start into a pyramid and the players must exit from it, avoiding the Koopa Fire Balls. Once out, there is a part with many Grindels, Fire Snakes, Pokeys and forks with a single correct way. The race continues on silted obelisk tilted and jumping on a cloud to avoid the canyon to landing in the quicksand[1] large area. Next step is going into in another large area with boost and cactus in order to enter into a oasis with 2 lakes with Bloopers: here there other forks with bridges and only 1 is correct and the other is the mirage. The final step of this race is returning into the pyramid avoiding Fire Snakes and Koopa Fire Balls again.

Notes

Probabily, this is the first custom track with the object quicksand[2].
2 Item Boxes gives only Bob-Ombs.
At first, in this custom track would be also Chain Chomps and Swoopers.

Easter Eggs

On the top of the pyramid, there is a Kazooie Target of Gobi's Valley of the game Banjo-Kazooie.

Know Bugs

When you start the race at the last place, the game tell you who you are 10th.
Sometimes, in the oasis area, can will be a slowdown.
