Here follows a list with used Object Settings, they can be edited in a KMP Editor. For example, you want to spawn a Star out a bush, or a Mushroom out of a crate if you drive into them.
Are you at the wrong page and do you want to edit Item Box Settings instead? Go here!
Basically, only the values "0000" to "0010" (in hex) were coded and intended for use.
Here, you can see what the others that are not intended values do (that's why some of them make the game freeze).
Note that in Battle Mode:
-Roulette shows only a green shell every next setting after this included in setting 2 "000D".
-When you're already giant, instead of a Mega Mushroom or a Thunder Cloud you get a single Mushroom
-When you have already a Thunder Cloud, you get a mushroom instead of another one
-Bullet Bill softlocks your game (because the battle KMP has no item route)
Item to spawn out of Object
For item boxes we know, that only values from 0000 to 0010 (17 values) are defined in /Race/Common.szs/ItemSlot.bin. Any value greater than 0010 triggers completely undefined behavior!
It is assumed, that the range of other objects are limited too. So the game can freeze, if an invalid item is thrown because any other settings changed!Setting Value 2 | VS | Battle |

The "always ... or always ..." seems like to have a precise time (or number of itembox) when it changes to the other one
- Setting Value 3 is the percentage of chance to spawn an object out of a bush or crate: from 0000 (0% = nothing will spawn) until 0100 (100% = always) can be used.
And yes, the percentage is in decimals apparently.
- ↑ 1.0 1.1 1.2 1.3 1.4
Bob-ombs work, however, they won't explode until you either hit it with an item or drive into it. Even in Team VS/Battle you'll get damage. - ↑ 2.0 2.1 2.2 2.3 2.4 2.5 2.6 2.7
The game will think that you have a Thunder Cloud above you while it just flew away. This way, your speed will stay as if you still have the Thunder Cloud above you.
However, if you'll go through a cannon or fall down and respawn, the Thunder Cloud glitch will be gone. - ↑ 3.00 3.01 3.02 3.03 3.04 3.05 3.06 3.07 3.08 3.09 3.10 3.11 3.12 3.13 3.14 3.15
These objects don't have any effect, they'll fly away and disappear once they'll hit a wall or floor. - ↑ 4.00 4.01 4.02 4.03 4.04 4.05 4.06 4.07 4.08 4.09 4.10 4.11 4.12 4.13 4.14 4.15 4.16 4.17
When you pass through these item boxes with an item (your slot used) it doesn't crash. However it happens if you have no item and pass into it. - ↑ 5.0 5.1
When you get Triple Green Shells (with that reference obviously), the next item box you pass through will crash your game no matter the setting.
