Overview

Desert Fort is a custom track created by JorisMKW. The track takes place around a fort which is strategically built in a lake located in the desert.

JorisMKW tried to make the track appealing for all players, both beginners and experts. The track route is easy to follow, but players who know the track still have an advantage.

This track contains over 8 intended shortcuts (see the videos below), making every item that let's players drive through offroad useful. Despite the simplicity of this track, players have to take lots of decisions throughout the race due to the fact that there are a lot of different routes. Therefore JorisMKW highly recommends playing this track at a normal amount of 3 laps, instead of 2. The track is long indeed, but with so much going on that is no problem at all, according to JorisMKW.

v2.0	2017-12-28	Remake. Added lots of new routes, including shortcuts. Completely retextured the track. Redid the KMP, fixing item route bugs and poor respawns. Lowered walls.
v2.1	2018-04-28	Replaced the star boxes with normal item boxes and replaced the 50% mushroom/50% Banana box with a Bob-omb box. Improved several bullet bill routes. Added more item boxes, most noticeably on the left route after the hill. Other minor KMP changes. Minor texture updates.
