Overview

Tart Top is a retro Battle Arena from Mario Kart DS. It is a large circular field covered by many pastry confections, like green and red heart-shaped jellies, cream puffs, and berries. The only Item Boxes are located high up in the air, accessible only when racers use the Boost Panel that completely covers the base of the cream mountain. In the original DS version, hitting any one of the creme puffs throughout the course may cause icing to splat on the player's screen (much like the Blooper item), but due to limitations with Mario Kart Wii not having a similar object effect, it is absent here.
