New Tracks

Overview

This list is for new tracks that have not yet been added to CTGP-R. Please indicate the desired track and music slots in the proper fields. All tracks will be put through the track testing process by the CTGP Track Council and the CTGP Track Testng Server. The decision to accept or reject a track lies solely with the CTGP Track Council, with MrBean35000vr having the last word about tracks.

To submit a track, please put the track in the "Unreviewed Tracks" table, and make sure to give it the "Unreviewed" tag, not the "Under Review" tag. Tracks that are labeled as Under Review have been noticed by the CTGP Track Council and have been put in their personal list of tracks to review. If a track is updated while still in the testing process, feel free to put the track back in the section that it was originally in, but make sure to indicate that it was updated. Do NOT re-submit a track version that was already submitted previously. You may ONLY submit a track if you are directly credited as an author or designer of said track. If you submit a track that you are not credited for, it will be removed.

It should also be noted that, unfortunately, new tracks from Mario Kart 8 and new tracks from Mario Kart Tour are not eligible to be reviewed or added for potential copyright reasons. Retro remakes of tracks that appeared in Mario Kart 8 (e.x. SNES Donut Plains 3) are still eligible for review.

Legend

Accepted The track has been accepted without issue, and will be included in a future update.
In Testing The track has been accepted, but is still currently being bug-tested by the Track Testers.
Maybe The track has been accepted previously, but second deliberations are required by the Track Testers. This will rarely ever be used.
Needs Fixes The track has been accepted, but further action by the author is recommended.
Updated The track has been accepted, but an update has been released after the accepted version.
Rejected The track has been rejected since it was last tested.
Updated The track has been previously rejected, but has been updated since the latest testing session.
Under Review The track is currently under review, and a decision has not yet been made.
Unreviewed The track has never been reviewed before.

Astronomical Overdrive Under Review Rainbow Road Rainbow Road 2 After many attempts to get the Position Jump Bugs fixed, FunkyDude15 and I were confident enough they had all been fixed. We may have missed some, but from our testing, we could not find any. There is also one blind jump and a blind turn, however these will not be changed. There is a wall partially into the blind turn so you cannot fall off, and the blind jump will become less of an issue after you've played it at least once.

Botania Under Review GCN DK Mountain Moo Moo Meadows 3 I have not yet received or seen any detailed feedback about why this track was rejected. I am asking for this to be tested again, but thoroughly, because a big update for this track is planned.
Camp Kartigan Under Review Moonview Highway Maple Treeway 3 v1.0 fixes most item route issues present in previous versions, but there still might be minor issues in the split path.
Coin Heaven Under Review Mushroom Gorge Mushroom Gorge 3 Update is being worked on, but layout will remain unchanged.

Rich House Under Review Coconut Mall Coconut Mall 1 "If there should be problems, I would like to get as much feedback as possible and what needs to be done for this track to get into CTGP. I am confident in the modern visuals and made sure it is up with current standards, improving it from the 2012-look. The track has different paths over the same sections, kind of like Incendia Castle, but still a little different. The route in v1.0 is intended and will only change if major issues with it come up. Unintentional weird stuff: After finishing a race, CPU will try to reach the first enemy point, no matter what. This happens on other tracks as well, like Summer Starville or Boshi Skatepark and cannot be fixed."

  • The track's intro cameras are completely missing.
  • There are a couple of spots that kill you if you're in a mega mushroom.
  • Issues with Item Routes, KCL.

  • The track as a whole is way too narrow in parts.
  • Issues with KCL, Item Routes, CPU Routes.
  • Generally, testers didn't like the blindness of the turn out of the courtyard & the hidden wall cut at the end. Too OP for backspam / traps.

  • The shortcut is really overpowered (saves more done shroomless driving through the grass).
  • Issues with KCL, Item Routes.
  • Some testers thought the textures were very low-quality, and they don't seam properly in places.

  • There's a weird camera bug at the end when the path splits vertically.
  • Most testers think the BC3 ramps are too small, and the invisible ones on the ramps shouldn't be invisible.

  • Some of the road and off-road is too hard to distinguish between.
  • Direction in the underwater section is confusing. (Add arrows?)

  • A lot of the shortcuts in the track are too overpowered.
  • The diagonal stretch of road between the last two turns should be removed.

  • The textures should be much less bright and/or desaturated.
  • The shortcut at the end should allow you to drive underwater, and the ramp shouldn't be a slow ramp. It should also respawn you at the beginning of the shortcut if you fail it and die.
  • The slippery road should be changed to normal road.
  • The giant advertisements in the background are extremely distracting, but this is obviously really minor.
  • The whole track could use a minor downscale.

  • The Bowser statue desyncs online and needs custom code to run properly.

  • The edges of the road are too janky (send you too high when you go over them). Make them flat.

  • Two jumps can't be made while small.

  • The author straight up said that items might disappear online, which is obviously a big issue.
  • The lava pillars should have a warning like on N64 BC and shouldn't be all up at once.
  • The size of every obstacle on the track is way too large.
  • The boost panels should all look consistent, and some of the boost ramps have texture mapping issues.

  • The part with the blind sloped turn before the loop should probably be less blind.
  • Lava animations don't loop properly.
  • The vertical loop is really janky and should be made more consistent if possible.
  • The finish line is really hard to see.
  • Bugs with Respawns, Position Tracking.
Puppy Play Park Needs Fixes Moo Moo Meadows Moo Moo Meadows 3
  • A lot of lag because of all of the cute puppies eating all of the triangles.
  • The wiggler-puppy shouldn't take up the entire road at once.
  • There should be sticky road right before the fire hydrants.
  • Exhaust flames are missing, and the shock is weird looking (not intended).
  • The area inside of the doghouse (especially the shortcut) kills a lot of vehicles. It should probably be remedied to fix this.

  • The fountain should be out-of-bounds.
  • KCL shadows should probably be added to where the current shadows are.
  • The track needs an upscale.
  • Sticky road should be added at the bridge and right before the bridge.
