Overview

Beagle Plains is Scye's first custom track with UV mapping. Lots of problems were encountered with objects so many of them were deleted for stability reasons before that track was first released, however it is unknown what these objects might have been. The item box on the Grass includes a Star and a cannon connects the track together near the end. This track shares its general theme with DS Peach Gardens, and various areas of slippery road give it a fair degree of challenge in parts.

The origin of the name of this track was unknown for a long time, many people speculated that it drew inspiration from dogs (namely the beagle breed) and toyed with the possibility that Chain Chomps were among the objects initially planned to appear here due to their similarity to dogs. This has since been proved wrong; Scye was actually drawing inspiration from Donut Plains from Super Mario Kart, and intended for this track to be called "Bagel Plains" (named after another pastry-based product) but an accidental misspelling of the word bagel gave this track the name it has today.
