Overview

Long before Ghost Valley appeared, there was a desert that was full of life. What happened next, no one knows.

Pointy Pighead Games' Version

The remake by Pointy Pighead Games takes place in an alternate universe where the valley had been flooded, where a constant battle between the elements would ensue, leaving the ecosystem to fend for themselves. Eventually some of the locals decided to construct a large free floating pipe to demonstrate their building capabilities. After much thought, the locals decided to build a track around it, leaving only the montey moles and piranha plants around, moving the other organisms elsewhere. After they got bored of the track, they abandoned the race track, where a few giant mushrooms would eventually bloom. The remake features textures ported from Mario Kart 8, bouncy mushrooms for expert shortcuts near the start and end of the race, and, animated boosts.

Bugs

There is an Ultra Shortcut involving using a boost to enter the pipe from the outside (See video below). This is fixed by ALPHAMARIOX in v1.2 by adding mandatory checkpoints before the pipe.
