Overview

Alpha Desert Valley is a custom track made by ALPHAMARIOX and 4TLPati. It takes place in a desert that would once become SNES Ghost Valley 2, with many Piranha Plants and electric propellers.

Pointy Pighead Games' Remake

The remake made by Pointy Pighead Games takes place in an alternate universe where the valley had been flooded, where a constant battle between the elements would ensue, leaving the ecosystem to fend for themselves. Eventually, some of the locals decided to construct a large free floating pipe to demonstrate their building capabilities. After much thought, the locals decided to build a track around it, leaving only the Monty Moles and Piranha Plants around and moving the other organisms elsewhere. After they got bored of the track, they abandoned the race track, where a few giant mushrooms would eventually bloom. The remake features textures ported from Mario Kart 8, bouncy mushrooms for expert shortcuts near the start and end of the race, and animated boost ramps and water.
