Autodesk 3ds Max Design

3ds Max Design is made for Windows and distributed by Autodesk. It is an powerful 3D tool, but the handling is difficult. If you are student, it is possible to get a free version of 3ds Max Design.

Blender is the free open source 3D content creation suite, available for all major operating systems under the GNU General Public License.

Google SketchUp

Google SketchUp is the free version of Google SketchUp Pro. It has no own object exporter and the exporter included with SketchUp Pro is not recommended, but a free and SZS Modifier compatible exporter is available.

If you have never used Google SketchUp before, you should watch and follow along with some of the video tutorials. It is recommended that new users complete the basic tutorials before proceeding.
